try standing in your living room, turn on the lights(at night with curtains open)and see how well you can see outside. This works vise versa: you can’t see into a dark room from outside in the daytime. It is called glare on the windows.

this law isnt stupid it impairs your vision you idiots
they mean the dome lights, or any internal lights in the vehicle. i live in indiana, and have been stopped for this insane reason.
