Slingshots are illegal in Columbus
What’s up with all the laws aginst slingshots?
Sec. 14-58. Slingshots, similar devices. It shall be unlawful to shoot gravel, shot or marble, or any other thing out of a gravel shooter, blow gun or marble sling, or other device or implement of like character. (Code 1914, § 652)

These laws (slingshots, air guns, etc.) are probably the result of kids being given such devices and causing property damage, injuring neighbors’ pets, etc.
