No person shall insult, taunt, or challenge another in a manner likely to provoke a disorderly response. If the person to whom such insult, taunt, or challenge is directed is a police officer, there is no violation of this section until the police officer requests the person to cease and discontinue the conduct, but the person repeats or continues the conduct.

Not a stupid law, actually i wish most states had this law, because in some states calling a cop a asshole (which is a derogatory OPINION.) will end up with you spending 5 years or more. Happends alot more that most so called nice cops think. Heres what happends in GA if you call cop an asshole.
Public unrest
Terrorist threat
Disorderly conduct
Resisting arrest
and if you say it in five points, Atlanta, its also Slander.
Common practice, all you do is walk up to a cop and call that officer an asshole NOTHING else no aggressive actions or tone, nothing extra just call the officer an asshole, and they will pull traffic camera to prove that you where there, and you get all of thoughs charges. Have had a friend or two come up on charges like that couple of times i have been witness and one time the word asshole was used in a conversation about a boss and the officer just happened to be standing there. Happends all the time, I really think, cops need to stop saying there are more good cops than bad, because i really think the good cops are clueless. Because I have yet to see one good cop, shit i have yet to see one good detective. Now, I have only witnessed these things as a by standard or witness, just in case you go for that silly argument.
yes i have done ride alongs, guess what i say every time after the ride alongs, You were apart of that problem you aggravated it to be worse. After a few times, they stopped because, some good cops i have said that to also they quit, because there concance got to them. Sad, but good cops dont stay cops, they leave forever.
What you neglect to mention is that most cops on the take aren’t beat officers. Cops defend business and society not the people.

Cops are nothing more than the countries largest gang. They have excceded their authority, embelish their interpetation of the law and operate on a GOD complex. I for one have no trust,or belief in anything they claim to stand for. Instead of” to serve and protect” it should to ” To Exploit and Profit”.
Once again, the few dirty cops out there are not every single cop. The evil minority of a group always ruin the majority of the group’s good work. If you honestly think every single cop is dirty, you are one of the stupidest conspiracy theorists since that guy that suggested the world was ruled by reptilian people living in the centre of the earth and coming out to Earth occasionally through a giant hole in the North Pole.
What a crock! Cops have it made when they stop you. Always lying to get a bust, Ive seen it in court many times. I had a few cops try to provoke me to say something back when they said a stupid remark to me. A lady in Seattle successfully sued the police for a snide remark, and I suggest you do same-FIGHT BACK!!!!
I doubt it. No system is without its corruption but do you honestly think that tens of thousands of little children across the country say, “Mommy, when I grow up I want to be a police officer so I can intimidate and swindle the general populace?” I don’t think so. Yes, there are plenty of dirty cops but plenty more clean cops who care.
Being a cop is stressful. You get shot at, people do not like you because of the dirty few and they often are not being treated nicely by the criminals they arrest. Until you can do their job better than every other cop out there, why don’t you at least think about what you say?
