This law from Walnut, California is from 1959 – it makes it illegal to pick flowers in public parks. Watch your children or they must arrest him/her if pick a flower in a park…
17-25 Flowers–Picking in parks, etc.
No person shall pick any flower or flowers growing in any public park or place in the city, except by the express authorization of the superintendent thereof. – (Code 1959, 4240)

I think this is quite stupid actually. You’d honestly try to get someone arrested for picking a flower? A flower. One flower… That’s ridiculous considering flowers are a part of nature. Nature should be free. I understand they don’t want everyone picking flowers there because the land wouldn’t look as nice but come on. It should not be illegal.
If everyone does it, it’s wrong. If I do it, it’s ok. lol
This is quite reasonable, actually. Places like Golden Gate Park in San Francisco would not want their carefully cultivated dahlias to be mauled by the public. It costs money to maintain them and they want them to stay looking nice.
oh geeeeeeeeeeez. i almost got attacked by a pack of angry middle aged jogging women who hissed at me and said ‘we seeeeeeeeee yooooooo’ lol i was gone from the scene and at home enjoying my beautiful vase of wild flowers by the time they could have gotten their sorry asses around to reporting me.

If i had caught you picking them flowers i would have shoved them so far up your thieving ass your breath would smell pretty.
Wild/park flowers should be enjoyed by everybody not some selfish prat.
