It’s illegal to bury your pet in your backyard.
|In Conyers, GA you will have to flush that dead goldfish down the toilet … sorry my loyal pet fish.

I don’t see where in this law it states that the animal cannot be burried, just can’t leave a dead animal on your own or anothers property for more than 24 hours.
The way I read that, it means that you can’t just have a dead animal lying about on your property or can’t go toss a dead animal onto your neighbor’s property. i don’t think it means that you can’t bury the pet. It says “upon the property” not interred which means to bury and they are 2 completely different things.
I think this law was created to prevent people from having horses and cattle die, and then not do anything about it, just let them lay out and rot. Believe it or not, people will do that because they don’t have the means to move a large animal without hiring someone with the equipement to do it.
Then take me away!!!!!!! Who made this law? Some laws are good, some laws are bad, some laws are crazy, but this is just beyond crazy!!!!!! stupid if i might add!!!! And why is this a LAW?!?!?!?!?
It is a health issue depending on why a pet dies, location of gound water and such things have to be concidered. Do you want to drink water with dead pets oozing into it? Gross!
Lol but really animals just die all the time and rot into the ground … If they’re oozing into it what’s the difference? People should be smart about it though. My dog got hit by a car and we had our funeral for him he’s in my backyard probably 5 feet down wrapped in trashbags and stuff I don’t think he’s oozing anywhere … Domestic animals probably have less diseases than the animals that drop dead in the wild and ‘ooze’ into our drinking water …
well then send me to prison because all of mine are in the back yard!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh! my gosh, this is truly stupid. If you bury your pet down 7 feet plus. This should be fine. No river, no water near…this is safe. I ask my dog’s vet in 2002. Told me ok!
I am an American and this is my land. I will bury any pet whereever I want on my land, let the socialist city of Louisville try something. Here in america we don’t allow currept goverments.
CHRISTI should be buried in her backyard!!!!
