|Riding a dog sleigh down any road is strictly prohibited.
10.12.050 Riding animals and animal-drawn vehicles.
A. It is unlawful for any person to ride or allow or permit any other person to ride upon any horse or other animal, or drive or operate any animal-drawn vehicle, on any street, roadway, highway, or public ground in the city at any time other than while participating in a scheduled parade or public display. The chief of police may give prior written consent for a designated person to ride or allow a horse or other animal upon a designated boulevard, road, street, or drive, or upon public ground as defined in this section, during certain designated hours and under supervision of the police department.
B. Every person riding an animal or driving or operating any animal-drawn vehicle upon a street, roadway, or highway shall comply in all respects with the Standard Traffic Ordinance as adopted by the city.
C. As used in this chapter, “public ground” is defined as any land owned by the city or any land which has been dedicated for the sole and exclusive use of the city. Public ground does not include public utilities and easements.
D. Any person who violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction be punished by a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars.
