Why it is do is not that the cow is worth more than a human lif it is that it is so hard to catch someone stealing your cattle that it would be hard to get them the first time make it a very easy to make money if it wasn’t for the threat of death, also you don’t have to kill them it was up to the owner’s desecration and they usually didn’t for for first offenders, just using the law to scare them to never try it again.

I highly doubt our justice system is going to condone murder for any reason. Especially stealing an animal. If we can’t murder child molesters, murderers or rapists without punishment then I don’t think stealing a cow will be understandable. And let’s say its not ( cause its not) is life in prison or death penalty worth it? 2 human life’s lost over hamburger meat… I’m positive there’d be a protest regardless lol lol lol

What’s stupid about this? If you steal an animal that’s worth $1,000 on up, you deserve to be shot or hung for it and it’s still very legal to shoot cattle rustlers down here.
