Requesting Obama’s Birth Certificate May Soon Be Illegal

If a newly proposed law in Hawaii gets passed, requesting a copy of the Barack Obama’s birth certificate will soon be ignored. The Hawaiian state House Judiciary Committee heard a bill Tuesday permitting government officials to ignore people who won’t give up.
The states gets 20-50 requests for a copy of his birth certificate a month! The law will allow the government workers to ignore requests from repeat requesters. If the law is passed, the state Office of Information Practices could declare an individual a “vexatious requester” and restrict rights to government records for two years.
Many people do not believe that he was born in this country and therefore is ineligible to be president!

I thought you could only request your own or your child’s birth certificate anyway. Atleast that’s how it was in Georgia the day I had to go with my ex and his mom.
I would say don’t ban but charge a reasonable fee for repeated requests. Government should be open, no matter how many times someone wants to get a copy of or see, a file.

I personally don’t believe he was born in Hawaii. Even the docs they put on the white house page were deemed fake by several people who work at graphic arts companies including one of the big software companies that MAKE the software. Oh, and the guy ADMITTED to it. Didn’t admit that he wasn’t born here, but admitted the doc was fake.

I’m sure the government workers have better things to do with their time then to handle repeat requesters. I am also sure the tax payers of Hawaii would rather see their money to go to more worthwhile causes. This law says nothing about people not being able to make one request, you just can’t harrass the poor paper pushers trying to do their damn job.
